vegetarian dinner

a lovely meal based on the fact that i like all ingredients seperately, but never tried them together.
it worked out wonderfully, otherwise i wouldn't share...only the best for you!

limabeans, fried tofu, tomato, garlic,
koriander, brussels sprouts and some leftover cucumber.
add a bit of oliveoil, lemon juice and salt and pepper.
eat!

bathtubconversion

I love to go to secondhand stores and usually come home with lots of things I never thought I needed. This is my favorite find of today: a barbiedoll-bathtub, so beautifull. It found a new purpose in life as a drinking bowl for our cat.

nude shoes

I love these shoes by Alexander McQueen as well as these, looks like I'm attracted to contradictions like being nude yet dressed at the same time. I think I won't be able to resist buying the Vibram shoes and waiting for the first hot day of summertime to wear them... (hmm, how many shoes are already in my closet?)

fort Altena

the beautifull view from fort Altena, part of the Hollandse Waterlinie, constructed as an old defence system in the Netherlands, but now mainly in use for recreational and cultural purposes. I had a meeting this week to discuss it as a possible location for my camera obscura installation

camera obscura installation

had a meeting today about my plan for a camera obscura artwork in public space. so far only existing as a sketch, now going to work on the technical requirements. next week another meeting with a second location, so it's going to be a travelling artwork. very excited about this!
I extended the idea of upsidedown projection of the camera obscura to the complete work, so the whole installation is an upsidedown little house where people can go in and enjoy the projection of the outside world on the wall. the house rests on clouds that function as seating for passers-by while at the same time hiding the construction that is needed to balance a house on the top of the roof.

making ailoli

really fast way to make aioli:
one egg, pepper, salt, juice of one lemon or lime, mix together and pour in good quality olive oil until the aioli thickens. one egg will make a large cup of aioli.

when your olive oil has too heavy a taste, use half sunflower oil instead.
